What is Systematic Kinesiology?

Our bodies are continuously working on every level to maintain our internal balance. Sometimes it can be very easily upset - largely through stress, but also through poor diet, inherited nutritional deficiencies, pollutants, toxicity, trauma, shock or emotional distress.

Kinesiology uses the connection between the subtle energy of the muscles and their physical structure. Our energies flow along specific pathways called meridians - as acknowledged in acupuncture. There are fourteen meridians, each one being responsible for carrying energy to particular organs or systems of the body - for example, kidney, bladder, spleen.

Each meridian is also directly connected to one or more particular muscle function, therefore, gentle 'muscle testing' of any given muscle can be used to diagnose which meridians are not working to maximum potential. Once the weak meridian has been established, I can then determine what course of action is necessary in order to correct its malfunction or imbalance.

Each and every one of us is both complex and individual and our health is influenced and affected by four major factors:

Our
physical structure – our bones and the muscles surrounding them and the joints.

Our
nutritional balance – nutritional supplements are a vital part of the treatment, greatly assisting a speedy return to well-being. They are an important and valuable part of your investment in your own health.

Our
emotions and thought processes certainly influence how our bodies react in any given circumstance. Our immune system can be weakened greatly by our thoughts alone!

Our
energy flow – it flows like a river through our bodies and if we 'dam it up' we generate weaknesses in that area. Our 'vital force' which nurtures the whole being and connects the other three aspects of health begins to work on diminished capacity and thus we become ill. In Chinese acupuncture it is called 'chi' and in traditional Indian medicine and philosophy 'prana'.
